Whether you are a new player or just starting out, you should know the importance of using a poker marketing code or bonus code when signing up at a new site. Most importantly, remember that you only can enter one first deposit bonus code! You can’t decide to use a different referral code when you realize that you could have earned more free money with an exclusive FlopTurnRiver code instead of the generic code. Some people even sign-up without using any referral code at all! That’s like someone giving you $600 and you saying, “Uh, no thanks, I’m good.” That’s crazy! Grab that money and make sure you get the best deal possible.

Now there may be some sharks out there who are thinking that they don’t play poker for the bonus, so it doesn’t matter for them. Here’s a hint, it does matter. It matters for everyone who signs up at a new site. Even if you are a solid winning player, why wouldn’t you want to increase your effective win rate? First deposit bonuses and signup bonuses can add several big blinds/100 to your overall win rate. That can be huge, for the sharks and the fish. For instance, if you set up a Full Tilt Poker account and use one of these special Full Tilt Poker Referral Codes, such as MAXBONUS600, you can get a $600 bonus, but also exclusive access to other perks, such as freerolls and prize money-added tournaments.

The first deposit bonus can also be considered to be a little insurance for the inevitable bad run that hits everyone sooner or later. It’s comforting to know that you can have a bad stretch and end without losing money because of your bonus, instead of in the red.

Earning any first deposit bonus is as simple as playing poker hands at the real money tables, something you will do if you are a poker player.

Now you know that you need a poker bonus code before you register at that new poker site you have been looking at and you want to be sure you get the best deal possible. Excellent, that’s exactly what you should do. Do some research, and see what different bonuses are being advertised on other websites. Undoubtedly, you will find that the best poker bonus codes available are all listed in the FlopTurnRiver.com database. We have collaborated with these online poker rooms, keeping the player our number one concern, to get the best poker bonus available.

You will find that sometimes our bonus will simply be greater than than other generic bonuses out there. Other times the bonus will need less points to clear, increasing the value. Other exclusive promotions also come with FTR’s bonus and referral codes, such as freeroll events. What makes our freerolls different is that although many sites are tempting with their somewhat higher dollar freerolls, they don’t advertise that that you can only play in those freerolls once on those sites. However, these freerolls can be combined with other promotions creating one big free-for-all tournament with hundreds of players, fighting with you for so long it doesn’t even make the freeroll worth it. FTR’s freeroll tournaments are exclusive for players that use our poker bonus codes and poker marketing codes. And, these tournaments repeat each month and you are always eligible to enter! Forever! As many times as you want! Can you see the difference?

Remember to register your new PokerStars account and use the special PokerStars Marketing Code of POKERMTT, along with the PokerStars bonus code of STARS600, and you can get a $600 bonus, but also exclusive access to other perks, such as freerolls and prize money-added tournaments amounting to $1,000 of cash given away every month! Follow these step-by-step instructions to download PokerStars, it's quick, safe, and you'll be playing in no time!

You might know Randy Lew as “nanonoko” online for he is well known in the poker community as an incredible cash game grinder. Since he has managed to achieve Supernova Elite every year since 2007, he has been receiving the maximum amount of PokerStars rakeback possible for a while now.

A couple years ago, he applied for Team PokerStars Online and now he is a sponsored pro. He started playing big live tournaments and recently scored huge in Macau on the PokersStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour, banking a healthy $483,857. This apparently wasn’t enough for him, though. He decided he wanted to also break a Guinness World Record!

Lew made it clear on his Twitter that he planned to go for a World Record at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas, but he wasn’t sure which record he would break. It probably would have been easy to break a Bingo codes record, but the man is a poker player. He decided to play eight hours of poker and set the record for playing the most hands while…

The PokerStars 10th Anniversary celebration has come and gone, and in the process records were broken and millions of dollars were won. PokerStars gave out poker bonuses and hosted huge tournaments, and both of these ensured that thousands upon thousands of players were online well into December. This article will focus on the tournaments that were part of this celebration.

On December 4th, 2011 the World Record Tournament took place with a buy-in of $1. Although the guaranteed prize pool was $250,000, PokerStars capped the event at 200,000 people. This meant a guaranteed overlay of at least $50,000! The guaranteed first prize was also $50,000, a huge sum for a $1 tournament.

It took just over 7 hours for the record breaking tournament to reach completion, with the final three players agreeing to a deal that awarded payouts of $25,741, $34,000 and $40,258. Sokoluk1991 from Russia was the big winner, taking down the aforementioned $40,258.

The Sunday Storm is the biggest field every week with its accessible buy-in of $11. The 10th Anniversary Edition on December 11th, 2011 was…

Poker has boomed in the Czech Republic, and many people think that Martin Staszko’s recent success in the World Series of Poker has everything to do with it. A record-breaking 571 players left the potential of a Cake Poker download to participate in WPT Prague, and then an impressive 722 players bought into EPT Prague a short time later. EPT Prague featured a €5.3k buy-in, so the total prize pool was €3.5 million. This created an impressive first place prize of €720k.

A notable that fell just short of the final table was Chris Moorman, a pro known for beating high stakes on the best Euro poker sites. He has also proven himself in the live arena recently, his best cash being a runner up finish in the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event for €800k.

Nicholas Levi was the chip leader when the final table formed, but his stack suffered an early blow after getting it in with bottom two against David Boyaciyan’s top set. This hand sent Levi’s stack plummeting to the bottom of…

It might come as a surprise to you to learn that Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson recently announced that he does not support online casino gambling. Adelson, the richest casino executive in the world, heads the Sands. The Sands is the largest publicly traded company in the casino industry. As he is a very prominent figure when it comes to gambling, people are sure to pay attention to this statement.

Adelson has been a Republican Party supporter for a number of years now, so perhaps his stance is not altogether too surprising. After all, he supports Arizona Senator Jon Kyl, who is very much against online casinos for USA players. Kyl was a major factor in passing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) back in 2006.

There are a couple reasons why some people might find it surprising that Adelson doesn’t support online gambling, though. For one, the New York Post reported that he was in support of online poker at the federal level just earlier this year. Secondly, many other casino executives are very much…

One of the most recent stops for the World Series of Poker Circuit was Harveys Lake Tahoe. It featured a $1,600 Main Event, which is certainly low by Main Event standards. This highlights a great thing about the WSOPC: the buy-ins are accessible so that the normal amateur player can take part. This is especially important in a day and age where Americans are not allowed on a William Hill Poker download.

A grand total of 327 people played over two Day 1s. This created a 6-figure first prize of $111,812! While 181 players made it to Day 2, just 11 players went on to Day 3. Within half an hour, two of these players busted and the final table was formed.

The first bust of the final table was Casey McCarrel. He started the final table with the fourth biggest stack, but he lost a chunk of chips to Chris Clark after doubling him up. He spent the rest of his chips on a flush draw and overcard against Ron Segni’s top pair, and he was sent to…

The 10th Anniversary for PokerStars is rapidly approaching, and the site has some exciting ways to celebrate. December will become a festival of sorts, and tournaments will definitely own some of the spotlight when it comes to the celebrations.

PokerStars already has the Guinness World Record for the largest poker tournament in history, but it will be looking to improve upon that standing with the 10th Anniversary World Record Tournament. The current record for players in a tournament is at 149,196, and this was achieved back when PokerStars was one of the US friendly poker sites online.

PokerStars will try to break their record on December 4th in a tournament with a $250,000 prize pool. While they are hoping for 150,000 people, the tournament is capped at 200,000 people. This means that the tournament will have a minimum $50,000 overlay!

PokerStars may not have video poker online, but they have the Sunday Storm. The 10th Anniversary edition of the Sunday Storm is on Sunday December 11th at 1:30 PM EST , and it will award the biggest first…

Last week I posted part 1 of our WSOP Main Event final table summary. Today I will continue this summary for the top three players of the biggest event available in casinos for USA players. When it became 3-handed, Martin Staszko had 35 big blinds, Ben Lamb had around 45 big blinds, and Pius Heinz had over half the chips in play with 90 big blinds.

The first hand of the final table’s Day 2 was a giant pot between Lamb and Staszko. There was a series of raises preflop, and finally Staszko was all-in with 77 against Lamb’s KJ. Lamb lost the big coinflip and was finished off by Staszko’s JJ just a few hands later. While Lamb was the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year, he had to settle for a disappointing third place in the Main Event.

Heads-up play finally began, and no one could have guessed the epic battle that was in store: 120 hands, 6 hours of play, and numerous lead changes. Staszko began heads-up play with a small chip lead but that was…

No one could claim that the path towards regulated online poker in American has been an easy one. Various powerful figures have been lending their weight to laws that would combat the UIGEA, but none have proved successful. However, the winds are changing in Washington and another push for legal online poker is underway.

The House of Representatives has discussed online poker a number of times, with bigwig Barney Frank a consistent instigator of debate. The Senate, on the other hand, have not formally covered the issue since 2006.

That’s all changed this week, with a hearing having been held to discuss the issue. It was entitled ‘Future of Internet Gaming: What’s at Stake for Tribes?’ and took place on November 17th. It concerned how the existing online gambling marketplace is affective Native American groups and what a regulated market might mean for them. It was designed to consider not only poker, but games like real money slots.

It’s almost traditional in the U.S. for Indians to run casinos and many are understandably concerned about the impact of online…

The World Series of Poker Main Event has been the pinnacle of tournament poker for quite some time now. It is the ultimate goal of every poker player from beginners to world class professionals on the PKR download. Only nine players a year get a chance to play for the title in November.

This year’s $10,000 WSOP Main Event began with 6,865 players spread out over four Day 1’s and was further thinned out by two Day 2’s. After that there were six more days of play before a player could call themselves one of the “November Nine.” The November Nine was scheduled for 109 days after Day 8 in July.

Bob Bounahra, Sam Holden, Anton Makiievskyi, and Pius Heinz were coming into the final table with 40 big blinds or less. This gave them room, but it meant that they couldn’t sit around for too long. Martin Stazsko began the final table in the pole position with over 80 big blinds.

It took 51 hands until the first bustout occurred. Holden busted by running AJ suited into Ben…
