EPT Prague in 2011 Won by Martin Finger

Poker has boomed in the Czech Republic, and many people think that Martin Staszko’s recent success in the World Series of Poker has everything to do with it. A record-breaking 571 players left the potential of a Cake Poker download to participate in WPT Prague, and then an impressive 722 players bought into EPT Prague a short time later. EPT Prague featured a €5.3k buy-in, so the total prize pool was €3.5 million. This created an impressive first place prize of €720k.

A notable that fell just short of the final table was Chris Moorman, a pro known for beating high stakes on the best Euro poker sites. He has also proven himself in the live arena recently, his best cash being a runner up finish in the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event for €800k.
