Unlike PokerStars or the Bwin Poker download, the name Full Tilt Poker (FTP) doesn’t exactly conjure up positive feelings amongst the poker community for many reasons. Most of these reasons include some variation of the fact that with FTP’s disappearance, hundreds of millions of dollars that belonged to poker players disappeared as well. While they were around, though, FTP did some great things, including creating one of the most popular poker games ever. This game has finally popped up on PokerStars, although it is under a different name.
Rush Poker was insanely popular on FTP as it offered a fresh format that was unheard of in the online poker industry. The biggest selling point of the format was that you could fold your hand and be off to the next table right away. There was no waiting for the hand at your current table to finish. You could even click a button to “quick fold” before the action even got to you, which effectively cut down the time you spent in hands you didn’t really care for.

On December 4th, 2011 the World Record Tournament took place with a buy-in of $1. Although the guaranteed prize pool was $250,000, PokerStars capped the event at 200,000 people. This meant a guaranteed overlay of at least $50,000! The guaranteed first prize was also $50,000, a huge sum for a $1 tournament.
It took just over 7 hours for the record breaking tournament to reach completion, with the final three players agreeing to a deal that awarded payouts of $25,741, $34,000 and $40,258. Sokoluk1991 from Russia was the big winner, taking down the aforementioned $40,258.

PokerStars will try to break their record on December 4th in a tournament with a $250,000 prize pool. While they are hoping for 150,000 people, the tournament is capped at 200,000 people. This means that the tournament will have a minimum $50,000 overlay!
