WPT
In the past few years the World Poker Tour has been really living up to its name with brand new events being created all over the world. One of those newer events is the WPT Amneville which takes place at the Seven Casino d’Amnéville in Amneville, France.
379 players put up €3500 a piece which created a prize pool of €1,164,288. This meant an incredible first place prize of €310,633. You can’t win this type of money playing on a Titan Poker download!
There were a few notable players who just missed the final table. Joseph Cheong finished in 13th place for €11,926, and Arnaud Mattern finished in 14th for €11,926 as well.
The 6-max final table took place on Day 5 with Baumstein holding the chip lead since Day 2. This is quite an amazing achievement! The final table started out quite fast as Scott Baumstein was playing a majority of the pots.

The first major event in poker’s brave new world was the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown, which got underway yesterday. Early signs are positive. The turnout was not massive, but 406 entrants easily surpassed the predicted field of around 350.
The action on the felt ran like you’d expect the well oiled World Poker Tour machine to rumble. At the end of Day 1, the chip leader was Randy Dorfman, who had a stack of around 160,000. Joining him on Day 2 will be a handful of recognizable names. Vivek Rajkumar is looking to make this his third WPT final table of the year, but will have to best the likes of Shannon Shore, Annette Obrestad, Mike Sexton, Kathy Leibery, and Lauren Kling to get there.

The tournament cost €2,500 + €220 to enter and attracted over 200 players to the Golden Vegas Casino. The prize pool was a respectable €493,155, with the first place finisher picking up €140,685. The event was also streamed via a poker video livecast for fans to watch the action unfold in real time.
The event itself was won by a Brit. Roberto Romanello, a Welshman of Italian lineage, took down the title just four months after winning EPT Prague. That makes it possible for him to become the first player ever to complete the Triple Crown inside 12 months and become the talk of poker forum sites. This enviable feat – comprising an EPT, WPT, and WSOP victory – has only ever been achieved twice, but never all in one year. Gavin Griffin and Roland de…
