PokerStars Bonus

The team at PokerStars has laid on a great first deposit bonus of 100% up to $600. By signing up at PokerStars through Flop Turn River you not only get access to this deal, but exclusive entries in $1000 worth of money-added tournaments every month. These monthly tournaments are only for FTR members. To ensure your entry into these events you’ll need to use the PokerStars Marketing Codeflopturnriver’. When signing up for a new account follow the FTR links and enter the code to get your tournament entries.

In order to access the PokerStars bonus of 100% up to $600, you need to enter the code STARS600 when depositing. The PokerStars bonus actually extends beyond just your first deposit. If you don’t reach the full $600 right away then you can add to the bonus total with your next two deposits, so long as they are within 90 days of the first. With the code inserted and the deposit made you’re ready to start clearing the bonus. It can take a little while to work through the whole amount, especially if you play at low stakes. However, the bonus is released in $10 increments, so you’ll get an almost immediate reward for your grinding. You have six months from the date of each deposit to clear the entire PokerStars bonus.

To unlock the full sum you need to accumulate 17 times your bonus amount in VIP Player Points. The ways in which you earn VPPs can be a little confusing, as there are two different systems depending on which table you play at. The standard tables version is as follows:

1 VPP when the rake reaches:

  • $0.40 for fixed limit stakes $1/$2 and below
  • $0.40 for No Limit/Pot Limit with blinds $1/$2 and below
  • $1.00 for all other games

A second VPP is awarded when the rake reaches:

  • $2.00 for all 6-max tables
  • $3.00 for all other tables

PokerStars does not specify exactly which tables this system applies to, only to say that it is used for every table not using the second system (which remains mysteriously unnamed). The following types of tables use the second VPP calculations:

  • 1-on-1
  • Full Ring Limit up to $0.25/$0.50
  • Full Ring No Limit up to $0.05/$0.10
  • All 6-max tables for No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Limit up to $0.25/$0.50

On these tables 5 VPPs are awarded for every $1 collected in rake. The points generated are awarded on a per hand basis, divided equally between every player who was dealt in.

Earning VPPs will also help you raise your VIP level. By moving up through the VIP ranks you will earn great bonus deals and increase the rate at which you earn Frequent Player Points. FPPs can be used to purchase items in the store, buy into tournaments, or be converted into cash. There are 6 levels of VIP: Bronze Star, Silver Star, Gold Star, Platinum Star, Supernova, and Supernove Elite. To raise your status you’ll need to earn a set number of VPPs per month, or per year for the Supernova levels. In addition to increased FPP rates as a VIP you’ll get exclusive access to weekly ($20 – $50k) and monthly ($100k) freerolls. If you become one of the select few to reach the Supernova levels then you can expect buy-ins to the PokerStars Carribbean Adventure, EPT tournaments, and the WSOP Main Event.

PokerStars offers more freerolls than almost anyone else, and have packed monthly tournaments with prize pools as high as $50,000 and $100,000. To get access to a more exclusive set of freerolls and money added tournaments, sign up to PokerStars via FTR and use the Marketing Code flopturnriver. As a Flop Turn River member you get access to  $1000 worth of tournaments every month. Join the FTR forum to unlock the password for a monthly $200 freeroll and $3 buy-in $300 money added tournament. In addition, if you sign up to PokerStars through FTR you can play in a $300 freeroll and $200 money added tournament every month.
